Heißwasser-sanitisierbare Wasseraufbereitungsanlage zur Versorgung einer pharmazeutischen biotechnologischen ProduktionMichael Baltes a, Armin Plaga b und Reune Runyon c Projektleitung a, Leiter Fermentation Biotechnikum 66 b, beide F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG, Basel (Schweiz), und Christ AG c, Abteilung Pharma, Aesch (Schweiz) This article discusses a modern system to produce, store and distribute purified water for the biotechnological production of a protein used as an active pharmaceutical ingriedient. In this case the microbiological requirements are met by a periodically repeated thermal sanitisation of all purified water wetted parts of the entire plant. With this method it is possible to produce the water without any chemical treatment or hot storage.
