Bestimmung der Bruchfestigkeit und des Zerfallsprofils von Schmelztabletten aus partiellem Gefriertrocknungsverfahren Timo Rauscher, Martina Kleiner, Elke Weber, Ingrid Müller Hochschule Albstadt-Sigmaringen, Fachbereich Life Sciences, Studiengang Pharmatechnik, Sigmaringen Korrespondenz: Prof. Dr. Ingrid Müller, Hochschule Albstadt-Sigmaringen, Anton-Günther Str. 51, 72488 Sigmaringen (Germany), e-mail: mueller@hs-albsig.de Determination of the Breaking Strength and Dissolution Profile of Fast-melting Tablets Produced with Partial Lyophilisation Fast-melting tablets are of increasing interest as drug delivery systems owing to their quick dissolution. For the galenical development, as well as for in-process controls and final controls of the product, it is necessary to know important parameters of the tablets such as the dissolution profile and breaking strength. It is useful to determine further significant parameters to support the quality ascertainment of fast-melting tablets. The aim of the following paper was to adapt an existing method which is about the determination of the dissolution profile. Moreover, a method to diagnose the breaking strength was established. Both methods should be able to be conducted fast and easily and provide reproducible results. The fast-melting tablets were produced according to the Lyo-Pan technique. This method is about a newly developed lyophilisation procedure, which works very economically due to the short drying times. The methods of measurement with the texture analyser used lead to very good and highly reproducible results. The different properties of the compounds were tested and analysed.
