Both environmental conditions, cleanroom and isolator, have several advantages and disadvantages. Because of the sample properties not all types of samples can be tested in an isolator but testing in an isolator is much safer. The strict separation of operator and sample reduces false positive tests. The costs per test for sterility depend on the total number of tests.
