Aeterna Zentaris Forms Strategic Review Committee and Appoints Michael Ward as CEO

Krebsmedikamente: 61.980 Mal wirkungslos
20.07.2017Der wegen Betrugs mit Krebsmedikamenten angeklagte Bottroper Apotheker soll in 61.980 Fällen Krebsmedikamente gepanscht und die Krankenkassen dabei um 56 Millionen Euro geprellt haben. Diese Details aus der Anklage teilte die Staatsanwaltschaft Essen mit. Betroffen sei „eine niedrige vierstellige Zahl von Patienten“, bestätigte eine Behördensprecherin. Konkret soll der Apotheker unter anderem bei Chemotherapien so wenig Wirkstoff verwendet haben, dass die Medikamente kaum oder keine Wirkung hatten. Außerdem soll er gegen weitere Vorschriften verstoßen haben. (...)

Mangelware Impfstoff: Immer wieder Engpässe bei der Versorgung

Die 58-jährige Patientin wird ohne Auffrischung ihres Impfschutzes gegen Polio (Kinderlähmung) die lange geplante Fernreise antreten müssen. 20.07.2017Nach einer Reihe von intensiven Tests durch die Europäische Organisation für Arzneimittelprüfung (European Medicines Verification Organisation, EMVO), ist Adents heute einer der beiden offiziellen “Certified Gateway Providers” und bietet Anschluss an den Europäischen Hub sowie nationale Plattformen wie SecurPharm in Deutschland. Die EU-Fälschungsschutzrichtlinie 2011/62/UE (Falsified Medicines Directive oder kurz FMD) sah den Aufbau eines Europäischen Arzneimittelverifikationssystems (European Medicines Verification System bzw. EMVS) vor. Verwaltet von der EMVO (European Medicines Verification Organisation), ermöglicht dieses europaweite System die Prüfung von Arzneimitteln am Punkt der Abgabe. (...)
